How to use your bidding Buddy!
What to do? You've finally located the item you've been looking for, but can't stay in front of your computer until the auction ends?
This is a great opportunity to use your bidding Buddy! Everyone can use a bidding Buddy to make sure they don't miss out on that favorite item.
Here's how it works:
Suppose the item you're bidding for is currently at $5.00, but the auction doesn't finish for another three hours! Step up bidding Buddy!
You can whisper to your Buddy that you do not want him to bid higher than $25.00 for that item, and leave the auction in their capable hands to bid for you. Your Buddy will bid at the lowest increment and only when necessary. It's that simple! Still confused? Okay, here is an example.
The current bid for this item is $5.00, and is going up in 0.50c increments.

Judy's Buddy
Your Buddy
You've instructed your Buddy to keep bidding until he gets to $25.00. It might go something like this:
Current bid $5.00
Judy's Buddy bids "$5.50!"
Sam's Buddy bids "$6.00!"
Your Buddy bids "$6.50!"
Unfortunately for Judy, she has instructed her Buddy to go no further than $6.50, so it's down to a face off between your Buddy and Sam's. It's Buddy war! May the best Buddy win!
Sam's Buddy bids "$7.00!"
Your Buddy bids "$7.50!"
Sam's Buddy bids "$8.00!"
Your Buddy bids "$8.50!"
Bidding continues at a hectic pace until 'BOOM' Sam's Buddy can go no more, he cannot better your Buddy's bid of $12.50 because he has been instructed by Sam to stop at $12.00.
Even though you were willing to go as high as $25.00, you got the item for $12.50. It's high fives all around when you get home from the movies and your Buddy tells you the good news.
And best of all, no one will ever know what your maximum bid was, as your Buddy will never tell a soul. You saved $12.50, countless hours in front of your computer and most importantly, you got the item you wanted.
