Retracting A Bid
Remember that retracting your bid is rarely acceptable. Bids are basically promises to pay on the part of bidders, if theirs is the winning bid. This becomes a valid contract that is legally binding. If you abuse this service, not only could you have your site privileges revoked, but also you may be held liable by the seller to pay for the goods.

On a lighter note, strange things do happen - like that time you stepped away from your computer for two seconds and your four year old keyed in $200,000,000 for a ten dollar baseball card!!!! This is why we have the retraction facility available to you.

But remember - abuse of this service will also cause damage to your integrity rating, This results in loss of reputation, and further reduces your ability to trade.

You will need to provide a legitimate explanation for the retraction of your bid. The seller, other bidders and other registered users who look up the auction history will view this.
